Born in France, the enigmatic Jeannine Richer eventually earned renown as both a composer and as a professor at the famed École Normale de Musique de Paris. Her published compositions consist primarily of instrumental works.
Richer’s 1998 composition for solo violin, Rupture, is included on the Feminae Records release Accompanying Herself.
