Henriette Bosmans

(1895–1952)

With her mother a concert pianist and professor at the Amsterdam Conservatory and her father working as principal cellist of the Concertgebouw Orchestra, Henriette Bosmans was born into a prominent musical family in Amsterdam. By the age of 25, Henriette had flourished into a well-respected pianist herself, and began regularly appearing as a solo pianist with the Concertgebouw Orchestra.

Her Cadenzas for the first and second movements of Mozart’s Violin Concerto in G Major are included in the Accompanying Herself album from Feminae Records, and are just a sample of Henriette Bosman’s many compositions.
