Aleksandra Maslovaric is a multifaceted musical artist and the founder of Feminae Records, based in Los Angeles, California.
Celebrated as an accomplished concert violinist, recording artist, and composer, her expertise extends to roles as an experienced musicologist, educator, arranger, editor, and producer. Maslovaric’s compositions include original works for full orchestra, chamber ensembles, duets, and solo violin, and several are available on Feminae Records releases.
The 2026 Cherchez la Femme release from Feminae Records features two neo-romantic works composed by Maslovaric: Violin Concerto #2 in D Major, and Four Caprices for Solo Violin.
Over two centuries ago, Maria Frances Parke published two sonatas with piano scores and only an ad libitum indication for the violin. For her 2025 Regency Parke release, Maslovaric built up from Parke’s completely clean slate and created new violin parts which fully integrate into and complete the sonatas as a true duet.
Butterflies for Solo Violin and String Orchestra, available on the same-titled release from 2023, is one of two Maslovaric compositions commissioned by the House of Krug as musical pairings for their Champagnes based on the 2008 harvest.
The Cosmic Concerto for violin and orchestra is available on the 2022 release The Cosmic Concerto, a Space Age Romance. Inspired by an imaginary expedition through the vastness of interstellar space, the concerto is dedicated to the past, present, and future female explorers of our universe.
Maslovaric’s compositions for solo violin also include Ringelspiel, 67 Moons, and Interruptions on the 2016 release, Accompanying Herself, and Reka and Novela on the inaugural Feminae in Musica album from 2007.
